ACE bid-writing support
I have been offering access support for funding applications through Arts Council England since 2022. I have supported a range of artists and organisations.
Please find Arts Council’s more detailed guidance on access support here.
And guidance around what funds are available here.
The next round of DYCP (round 25) will be summer 2027. NLPGs have an ongoing rolling deadline. For more info about DYCP please see below.
Feedback from previous applicants I have supported:
“Thank you so much. I could not have done this without you. You are an amazing access support worker - not just helping me with the practical process but with the writing of it too, helping me pull out what it was I was really trying to say.”
'“Thanks again for your help, and for your patience with me over this period. I've developed better language to talk about my work over this period of working with you, and I value your support in that lot!”
-
Current ACE guidance for upcoming DYCP is:
'The next round of DYCP (Round 25) will open for applications in Summer 2027. We will announce more details by March 2027.'
I usually support between 4-6 artists/cultural workers each round, and normally get many more support requests through than I can fulfil. I will begin booking people in for DYCP from March 2027.
Please let me know via my contact page, or the form below if you'd like to be added to the email list for notification when my DYCP bookings open in March 2027.
Booking in with me
I offer support slots out first come first served, following a short (15min) call, to answer any of your questions, check eligibility and see if we'd be a good fit.
I am required by ACE to check applicants eligibility before we apply to work together. you can share any access information you like, or an access rider (if you have one) and I will also run through my own working agreement.
Once booked in, we will discuss access needs in more detail, write a short plan of support together, and I will submit that to ACE on your behalf.
Once ACE have approved this, we can begin working together. Typically I find applicants tend to use the full 2 days offered, and we work online in blocks of between 1-3hrs, depending on applicants needs/other commitments. All support is paid for directly by ACE.
Pre-application support
Due to demand, for this next round I am also offering one-off 1hr planning sessions for DYCP. You can book these at any time, please see more information below.
-
Ahead of DYCP round 25, I am offering one-off 1hr DYCP pre-application planning sessions.
This is to help to focus and direct ideas ahead of beginning a DYCP application next summer.
Over a 1hr call I can help with things like:
Understanding DYCP guidance, and reading through previous applications together (I recommend looking at TWP funding library)
Identifying goals & aims for a DYCP application
Identifying relevant activity to support goals/aims
Signposting to helpful resources & areas of research
Help scoping or focusing ideas into a project & draft activity plan
Help identifying any 'to-dos' before DYCP opens e.g. documenting work, building a portfolio etc.
I'm offering this at a reduced rate of £50/session, for artists with access needs preparing for DYCP.
This work & fee is not covered by the scope of ACE support, so would need to be paid by you directly.
Please be aware that for fairness, having a 'DYCP pre-application planning session' with me, does not guarantee one of my access support slots for DYCP Round 25.
This session is more aimed at getting you prepared for writing an application, whether with me, another support worker, or independently.

I am available to support on a number of other funding opportunities including NLPGs, time-limited priority funds, and NPO applications.
For more information on any of the above, please get in touch via the form below. Happy to discuss over an email or a short call.
